2019 Speakers

We are honored to welcome Clay Bolt, the award-winning naturalist and photographer who (in February 2019) helped re-discover the largest bee in the world (Wallace's Giant Bee, long thought to be extinct) and led the effort to get the Rusty Patched Bumblebee placed on the Endangered species list in 2017 (this is the first Native American bee protected as a federally endangered species). Clay will discuss his work as a naturalist and photographer, and the importance of protecting insects, which form the foundation of all terrestrial ecosystems.

Jeff "The Animal Guy" was a phenomenal hit at our 2018 Wild America Nature Festival and we are excited to welcome him and his animal guests back in 2019! Get there early and make sure the kids get a seat up front for an AMAZING experience (WARNING: Jeff's python has given kids wedgies in the past... he will tell the story...).

We are also excited to welcome back Wild Spirit Education with their range of rescued birds of prey (and other animal guests) and welcome (for the first time) Sky Hunters falconry with live bird-of-prey flight demonstrations!
Traditional folk music will be provided by Davis and Eng and Steel Rails.
